The Shops at Mauna Lani announces launch of free local music concert series ‘First Fridays at The Shops’ to showcase Big Island talent, eclectic sounds

Beginning on Friday, April 3, the shopping complex will host free music performances at its outdoor stage on the first Friday evening of every month.

The series will feature a diverse array of local sounds, from contemporary Hawaiian to jazz. The April concert debut will feature a two-hour set from Kohala’s own award-winning artists Nino Kaai and Kahua beginning at 6 p.m. Popular jazz cat Bill Noble will take the stage in June.

The Shops at Mauna Lani opened in 2006 and is home to fine dining and unique shopping, including an array of art galleries, fashion and lifestyle boutiques, jewelry and specialty stores. Dining establishments include Tommy Bahama’s Tropical Café, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Kenichi Pacific and Dara’s Thai Cuisine.
